Role Overview:
As the Product Marketing Manager at ControlCase, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and growth of our product offerings within the IT compliance and cybersecurity space. You will work closely with the product, sales, and marketing teams to create impactful messaging, go-to-market strategies, and sales enablement tools that highlight the unique value proposition of ControlCase’s products and services.
Additionally, you will lead the efforts around pricing discovery and setting, ensuring our pricing strategies align with market expectations, customer needs, and business goals. You will also need to work in alignment with our partner community, especially as it relates to product positioning and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring all channels are effectively integrated into the overall strategy. Collaboration with the Channel Marketing Manager hire will be essential to streamline efforts across all channels, strengthening our partner ecosystem and enhancing the impact of our product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Product Positioning & Messaging: Create clear, concise, and compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences, including MSPs, enterprises, and government contractors.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead go-to-market (GTM) planning, product launches, and campaigns, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and aligning efforts with partners to ensure cohesive execution.
- Customer & Market Insights: Work with the product and sales teams to gather customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Pricing Discovery & Setting: Lead the discovery process to analyze competitor pricing, customer expectations, and market demand to help define pricing strategies for new and existing products. Work with the sales, product, and finance teams to set competitive, sustainable pricing that maximizes profitability while aligning with ControlCase’s brand value and customer expectations.
- Channel & Partner Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams and our partner community to ensure product strategies, positioning, and go-to-market campaigns are aligned and effectively executed across all channels. This includes coordinating with our Channel Marketing Manager hire to ensure that our partner ecosystem is fully integrated into product marketing initiatives.
- Sales Enablement: Develop sales enablement materials, including product guides, pitch decks, case studies, and presentations, to help the sales team drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Content Creation & Thought Leadership: Produce high-quality content, including blogs, whitepapers, and webinars, to establish ControlCase as a thought leader in IT security and compliance.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging, positioning, and customer experiences across all touchpoints.
- Performance Measurement: Analyze the performance of marketing programs, campaigns, and product launches, using data to optimize strategies and deliver results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in the cybersecurity, IT compliance, or SaaS industries.
- Proven track record of driving successful product launches and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
- Experience in pricing strategy development and discovery, with a deep understanding of how to analyze market data, customer feedback, and competitor pricing to set pricing that maximizes both value and profitability.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messaging for various audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with channel marketing and partner enablement.
- Knowledge of IT compliance and cybersecurity standards (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC).
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Asana for campaign management and analytics.
